The Similarities between E-Shisha & E-Cigarettes
E-Shisha (Electronic Shisha) got its name from Shisha, or Hookah, which is the smoking of flavoured tobacco usually using an extravagant looking pipe. The name has been adapted to an electronic version that doesn’t look much like the original Shisha, although it has the same principles, namely offering a flavoursome taste and producing lots of smoke, however, the smoke isn’t from tobacco since Electronic Shisha doesn’t contain any, nor does it contain any of the thousands of dangerous substances found in regular tobacco. That is the most apparent similarity between E Shisha and electronic cigarettes and it’s probably why people enjoy using them, but unlike with e cigs, Electronic Shisha tends to have very little, or even no nicotine at all. They can contain nicotine in the same way as e cigs but many non-smokers like to use Hookah Sticks to look trendy rather than for nicotine. E cigarettes can come with no nicotine in their cartridges too but the Shisha Pens produce more smoke vapour and look more realistic, which is why they are gaining plenty of popularity with people, even celebrities have started using E-Shisha Sticks.
Electronic Shisha produces considerably more smoke than e cigarettes and lots of smokers find this is more beneficial when trying to kill cravings, or at least reduce cravings. Even without nicotine Electronic Shisha can help smokers reduce their intake of regular cigs since the smoke released is so realistic and has a positive influence on people. E cigs do produce smoke like vapour too, although it tends to be less than that of an E Shisha Pen, furthermore, some people say E-Shisha Pens last longer than e cigs but that depends on the battery and quality of cartridges more than anything else so it’s hard to say that as a definitive answer.
The chemicals found in both E Shisha and e cigs is very similar except the former can sometimes contain more depending on brand. The chemicals are fairly harmless and are often found as additives on regular food and drinks but both Electronic Shisha and e cigs are much healthier than real cigarettes, which are loaded with thousands of dangerous chemicals. Regardless of how many chemicals care found in Electronic Shisha and e cigarettes, they will never be as dangerous as real cigs so they share that similarity.
E-Shisha & E-Cigarettes in Summary:
Perhaps the biggest difference between the two is that E-Shisha is targeted at non-smokers as much as smokers, unlike e cigs that are more specific as a nicotine replacement treatment (although the industry will deny this) and targeted more at smokers. They both use a battery, charger and cartridges and both can produce smoke and various flavours but E-Shisha commonly has no nicotine, unlike e cigs which usually do. The point of E-Shisha seems to be a trendy fashion symbol more than anything else, whereas e cigs seems to be targeted at smokers trying to reduce or quit real cigarettes. Both products have subtle but noticeable differences and E-Shisha might be better for non-smokers, with e cigs suitable for smokers.
